Nippon Cinema

Japanese cinema is doing quite well these days – at least if you look at ticket sales. We are proud that some films among the top box office hits of 2018 were already presented at last year’s edition of NIPPON CONNECTION. This year, we showcase the works of several directors that have been trusty companions of the festival for many years.

The audience will once again be able to bestow the NIPPON CINEMA AWARD upon their favorite film in the cinema section. The prize of 2,000 € is sponsored by Bankhaus Metzler from Frankfurt.
