Nippon Visions

If you are looking for new cinematic gems and challenging perspectives in cinema, NIPPON VISIONS is the place for you. The section showcases extraordinary feature film debuts by young directors, like BLUE HOUR by Yuko HAKOTA. Regulars from the Japanese independent film scene are also represented, including Daisuke MIYAZAKI with his film TOURISM.

Two awards are offered in the NIPPON VISIONS and NIPPON DOCS section. The NIPPON VISIONS JURY AWARD consists of a free subtitling, sponsored by the Japan Visualmedia Translation Academy (JVTA). The NIPPON VISIONS AUDIENCE AWARD is funded by Japanisches Kultur- und Sprachzentrum e.V. in Frankfurt and endowed with 1,000 €.
