Taro OKAMOTO became world-famous by designing the “Tower of the Sun” at the Expo ’70 in Osaka. The ideas and problems that came with its creation, however, are intertwined with the evolution of Japanese culture – from the Paleolithic up until modern times. In his documentary debut, director Kosai SEKINE takes us on a philosophical journey that transcends the visual limits of documentaries.

Director's Bio

Kosai SEKINE was born 1976 in Tokyo and graduated in 2000 from Sophia University with a degree in philosophy. His first venture into film began with his work as production manager for the film production company SPOON LTD. His first short film RIGHT PLACE (2005) won the Young Director Grand Prix at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, among other awards. He also directed many award-winning music videos and TV commercials. LOVE AT LEAST, his feature film debut, will also be screened at this year's NIPPON CONNECTION Film Festival.
